Policies and Procedures

Policies and Procedures are a set of rules and methods implemented and communicated to structure certain processes within an organisation. This term embraces the set of instructions given to employees from general guidelines to specific steps applicable to job roles.

At SJLC, we know that having these in place show that the organisation is diligent and efficient, ensuring consistency in the decision-making process and ensuring the standards are set for operations to run smoothly. Policies also serve as a major benefit to employees if they are ever forced to defend themselves and/or the company against an unfair dismissal claim, WHS order or liability claim

Policies

The performance of operational structure is highly dependent on the success of the policies within a business.

Often, policies guide all stakeholders within a business on the structure in which many procedures are to take place.

In business of high growth, varying industries and significant change, policies need to be constantly updated to maintain the level of value a business wishes to provide.

At SJLC, we pride ourselves on our implementation of practical and structural policies, and the performance post implementation that they possess.

Procedures

Procedures outline the practical approach to business that encompasses the value chain approach to products and services.

Often, the efficiency and quality of completed work is fundamentally in the process which is taking place as the product or service is being completed.

Customisation, personalisation and standardisation are two elements that are key to this process. Highly successful businesses understand this, and balance this equation correctly depending on the product or service that they are offering.
