Quality Assurance

Quality Definition

In Quality Assurance (QA), it is important for the product or service to have a definition of what quality looks like, and how it is measured.

Procedures

Upon the definition of quality, procedures must be set in stone to ensure that a quality product or service is transferrable.

Instructions

Instructions must be clear within the quality and procedures to ensure quality is maintained and developed.

Data Collection

To ensure quality is within a product or service, it is crucial for QA to collect the necessary data that provides insight into the correct standard deviations of quality in a product.

Quality Control

Quality Control (QC) is sourced largely from data collections from a relevant sample size within businesses.

The importance of QC is that, products and services according consumer law, have minimum 'implied conditions' that must be maintained to ensure there is value (consideration) in the transfer of a product or service.

Scatter plots, histograms and spreadsheets are all key mechanisms that may be implemented in QC, to identify the smallest areas of potential improvement in QC.

SJLC have noticed that companies without QA & QC measures within their operations were losing repeat customers.
